Adding your first photos to an album

Let's add your first photos

A brand-new album is a bit of a blank canvas — but don't worry, adding photos is easy. Here's how:

1. Open your album and look for the big Add to your album button in the middle of the page.
2. Tap it, then choose Photo, Video, or PDF (or Bulk Upload to select several at once) and pick photos from your phone or computer. If your photos live in Google Photos, Dropbox, or another app, choose From Another App instead.
3. Your photos start uploading right away — you'll see the progress in a bar at the bottom of your screen, and you can keep working while they finish.
4. Once they're up, tap any photo to add a caption or rearrange the order.

If you added several photos at once, we'll put them in order by the date each was taken, oldest first — so you usually won't need to rearrange anything.

You can always come back later and add more. There's no rush, and nothing you add is set in stone — your album is yours forever, with unlimited editing, so you can edit or remove anything whenever you like.
