Publishing changes to a live album

When you edit a published album, your updates are held privately until you're ready to share them — here's how it works.

Publishing changes to a live album

Once your album is live, any edits you or a co-editor make to the album title, description, cover photo, or theme are saved quietly in the background — your guests won't see anything different until you decide to share the updates.

New photos or videos you add, and any captions or media you change on existing posts, are also held back the same way.

How to publish your changes

  1. Open your album workspace.
  2. When you have unpublished changes, you'll see a "Public · Updates Pending" banner at the top of the page.
  3. When you're happy with everything, click Publish Changes.
  4. Your guests will see all your updates right away.

How to discard your changes

  1. If you change your mind, click Discard Changes in the banner.
  2. Everything goes back to the last published version — nothing your guests saw will change.

When you discard your changes, anything you were previewing — including the theme preview — snaps back to the saved album. You won't see your in-progress work after discarding, so make sure you really want to throw it away.

What happens right away (no staging)

A few things always take effect immediately, no matter what:

  • Deleting a post — removes it from the album straight away. You'll see a quick summary of any comments or reactions that will also be removed before you confirm.
  • Comments and reactions from guests.
  • Chorus posts.
  • Adding or removing members and co-editors.
  • Privacy settings (who can view or post).
Tip: Think of the Publish Changes button as your "go live" moment — you can take your time getting everything just right before your guests see the update.
