Signing up and setting up a passkey

Create your account, then add a passkey so you can sign in with your face, fingerprint, or screen lock — no password to type.

Signing up and setting up a passkey

A passkey lets you sign in with the same face, fingerprint, or screen lock you already use to unlock your phone or computer — no password to type or remember. You create your account first, then add a passkey so every future sign-in is one quick tap.

Why passkeys?

  • Biometric security: Only your face, fingerprint, or PIN can unlock your account — nothing to memorize or phish.
  • One-step sign-in: No typing, no copying codes from your email. Just your biometric and you're in.
  • Works everywhere: Many devices sync your passkey to your other devices automatically.

Create your account

  1. On the sign-up page, choose Sign up with Email, Continue with Google, or Continue with Apple.
  2. Follow the prompts to add your name and phone number. We won't text you a code right now — we'll only ask to verify it later, when you do something that needs an extra security check.

Add a passkey

  1. Go to Your Profile and find the Passkeys section.
  2. Tap Add a passkey. You can give it a name so you can tell your devices apart later — we'll suggest one (like "My iPhone"), or type your own. This step is optional.
  3. Follow your device's prompt — Face ID, fingerprint, or your screen lock PIN.

That's it. Next time you sign in, just tap the email box and your device will offer your passkey — choose it and confirm with your face, fingerprint, or screen lock.

What if I lose my device?

Your account is always yours. Many devices sync your passkey to your other devices, and you can still recover your account using your email and phone number. Learn more in I lost my device — recover your account.
