Accepting an album invitation

When someone invites you to their album, you'll see an invitation page the first time you open the link.

1. Open the album link.
2. Tap Accept to join. You'll see the album right away.
3. If you'd rather not join, tap Not right now — you can always come back later.

Once you accept, you'll be able to read posts, leave a memory, and react to other people's posts.

On a private album, your accept may need a quick OK from the album owner first. If so, you'll see a friendly "your request is on its way" note, and we'll let you know as soon as they say yes.

I'm signed in to a different account than the invitation was sent to

Invitations are tied to the email address or phone number they were sent to. If you're signed in with a different account when you open the link, we'll send you back to the sign-in page with a friendly note asking you to sign in with the matching account. Once you do, the invitation will pick up right where you left it.

Opening the link on a different device

Invitation links are tied to the first device they're opened on. If you open the same link on another device — or after clearing your browser — you'll see a sign-in screen instead of the album preview. Just sign in with the email address or phone number the invitation was sent to, and you'll be taken straight to the album and joined as a member.

• For a public album, you can also just visit the album's regular page — it's open to everyone.
• For a private album, the sign-in step is the only way in from a new device.

Links can also expire or be cancelled by the album owner. If none of that applies and you still can't get in, ask the person who invited you to tap Resend on their People page. There's more detail in Accepting an invitation.

I tapped a "Leave a memory" button before signing in — what happened?

If you tapped a button on an album page before signing in, we'll bring you right back to it after you sign in. The composer you tapped will be open and ready for you.
