Your Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know about ShareLocket Albums. Can't find what you're looking for? We'd love to help!
How much does an Album cost?
An Album is $30. It's a one-time purchase, and it's yours forever. You can keep adding photos, videos, stories, and updates whenever you like, with no time limits and no extra fees. If you'd like guests to leave their own memories too, you can optionally add Chorus for $15/month, which turns on guest contributions across all of your Albums. Can my Album be private?
Yes, private by default. Your Album is invitation-only: never searchable, and never visible to anyone you haven't personally invited and approved. However, you can choose to make an Album public so anyone with the link can view it.If my Album is public, can anyone comment?
Only with your permission. If you make your Album public, anyone with the link can view it. However, commenting is limited to the guests you approve: those you invite directly through ShareLocket and those who request to join. Furthermore, you can moderate comments and remove anything you don't like. You're always in control of who can see and contribute. How do I invite people to my Album?
Once your Album is set up and published, you can send up to 200 personal invitations directly through ShareLocket by email or text message. Each person gets a unique link that will let them view your Album and sign in to comment. Additionally, public Albums can be shared with a simple link on social media or the QR code we provide. What does the Chorus subscription include?
For $15/month, a Chorus subscription opens an extra section on all of your Albums so guests can leave their own photos, videos, stories, and comments alongside yours. It's a single subscription that covers every Album you own, but don't worry — you pick which Albums have it turned on. You can start or stop whenever you like, with no penalty. Pausing just closes the Chorus to new contributions, while everything already shared stays exactly where it is.What happens if I don't add the Chorus?
Nothing changes for you. Your Album is yours forever, and you can keep adding photos, videos, stories, and updates anytime. The Chorus is purely optional; it's only there if you want to invite guests to leave their own memories. You can add it anytime, and stop it anytime. What sorts of things can the Chorus be used for?
Since the Chorus allows your guests to add to the Album, it's ideal for memorial guestbooks, anniversary well-wishes, retirement celebrations, or special events such as weddings, birthday parties, or bat/bar mitzvahs. It's the perfect way to remember shared experiences such as summer camps, Greek life events, or family reunions. When you want the memories to include more than just your own, the Chorus is the solution. Can a co-editor purchase a Chorus subscription on my Album?
No, only the Album owner can subscribe to Chorus. If you're a co-editor on someone else's Album, your subscription only applies to the Albums you own, not theirs. If you'd like guests to share memories on your Album, you (as the owner) are the one who subscribes. What kinds of files can people share?
All kinds! ShareLocket supports photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP), videos (MP4, MOV), voice notes (M4A, MP3, WAV, OGG), PDF files, and written stories up to 10,000 characters. Additionally, we make it easy to record video and audio straight from your computer, or import directly from your favorite storage services (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.). We even make automatic transcripts of all voice and video memories! Everyone can share in the way that feels most natural to them. How many people can contribute?
If your Album is private, you can invite up to 200 people by email or text message. If your Album is public, there's no limit at all. Your Album can have a small group of close family or hundreds of friends and colleagues, whatever feels right for your occasion. Can I moderate content on my Album?
Of course. As the Album owner, you have full control. You can review, hide, or remove any contribution at any time. You can also remove a member if needed. Your Album, your rules. Is ShareLocket accessible?
