Cropping and rotating a photo
Crop or rotate any photo in your album — your original is always kept safe.
Cropping a photo in your album
Want to zoom in on a moment or tidy up the frame? You can crop or rotate any photo in your album right from the editor — and the best part is, your original photo is always kept exactly as it was. Cropping never lowers the quality of your photo, and you can re-crop or undo the crop any time you like.
How to crop or rotate a photo
- Open your album and tap the photo you'd like to adjust.
- Tap Edit, then open the Crop tab.
- Choose a shape for your crop — Free to frame it any way you like, or one of the ready-made shapes: Square, Portrait, Landscape, or Wide.
- Drag the corners to frame the part you want to keep, or use the rotate buttons to turn the photo.
- Tap Apply Crop when you're happy with it.
Your guests will see the cropped version, but the original photo is safely stored behind the scenes.
The same is true everywhere you crop in ShareLocket — your profile photo and your album cover keep their originals too, so you can re-frame them any time without ever losing quality.
Changing a crop
You can go back and adjust the crop any time — just tap Edit on the photo and open the Crop tab again, then tap Apply Crop. Applying a new crop simply replaces the previous one, so you can keep refining the framing as often as you like.
If your album is already live
Crop changes on a live album are held back until you click Publish Changes (just Publish on a phone), just like any other edit. That way you can adjust the framing and preview it before your guests see the update.
