Publishing your album
Make your album live at its own web address, keep it yours forever, and invite people on your own schedule.
Publishing your album makes it live at your unique sharelocket.com address so friends and family can visit, view your photos and stories, and leave their own contributions if you invite them.
While we're in beta, publishing is free
We're not taking payments just yet. Every beta tester gets album credits, so you can publish at no cost — just choose Use credit & publish when you're ready, and we'll show you how many credits you have left.
If you've used all your credits, the publishing window will tell you that payments aren't open yet. Nothing is lost when that happens: your album stays safely saved as a draft with all your photos and stories in it, and you can keep working on it. We'll let you know as soon as albums are ready to buy.
What your album includes
Once payments open, an album is a single $30 payment — no subscription, nothing recurring. That one payment gets you:
- Your album becomes yours to keep — permanently.
- You can keep adding photos, stories, and edits for as long as you like. There's no time limit.
- Your album gets a beautiful, permanent web address (sharelocket.com/@your-album).
Purchasing vs. publishing
Purchasing your album and publishing it are two separate steps. You can buy your album now and publish it days or weeks later — it's completely up to you. When you're ready, click Publish in the album workspace and we'll walk you through the rest.
Privacy is always in your hands
Before your album goes live, you choose who can see it: anyone with the link, or only people you invite. You can change your mind at any time.
About invitations
If you've already added people to your invite list, we'll ask whether you'd like to send their invitations right away or wait until later. Most people choose to wait so they can add a few more photos first. Either way, you're in control.
