Charts and maps in a collection
See a number from your collection over time as a chart, with a line for each person, or see where your posts happened on a map.
See a collection as a chart
When a collection keeps a number with a unit, like a weight, a time, or an amount of money, and its posts have dates, you can see that number over time.
- Open the collection and choose Chart.
- Point to a dot, or tap it, to see its value, the post it came from, and the words that say so.
- Click the dot, or tap it again, to open the post.
When the collection names a person, each person gets their own line, with their profile picture beside their name. The first three people each have their own color and shape, and anyone else is shown together as Everyone else.
With a keyboard, tab to the chart and use the arrow keys to move from dot to dot. Choose Show the numbers to read the same values as a table.
A post with no date, or with a number in a different unit, is left off the chart, and the chart says how many.
See a collection on a map
When a collection keeps a place, you can see its posts on your circle's map.
- Open the collection and choose Map.
- Tap or click a pin. If one post is there, it opens. If several are, that place is highlighted in the list under the map.
- Choose a post in the list to open it.
Only places that are on your circle's map get a pin. A post whose place isn't on the map stays in the collection, and the map says how many.
Things added by hand
Something a member added to the collection by hand, rather than in a post, shows on the chart and the map too. Its value says who added it, and there is no post to open.
The same posts as your table
If you filtered the collection by a person, a place, or dates in the table or the grid, the chart and the map show the same posts and tell you so. Choosing a chart or a map doesn't change the collection's usual view. Choose Grid to go back to the cards.
