Fix a value in a collection

Correct a name, a date, a number, or a list in a collection right where you see it. Your fix stays, and everyone can see who made it.

Fix a value

ShareLocket fills in each collection from your circle's posts, and sometimes it reads something wrong. Anyone in your circle can put it right.

  1. Open a collection and choose Details or Table.
  2. Tap or click the value you want to change, or choose Fix beside it.
  3. Type the right value. For a list, such as ingredients, put one per line.
  4. Press Enter, or tap or click somewhere else. In a list, Enter starts a new line, so tap or click somewhere else when you're done. It saves on its own; there is no Save button. Press Esc to leave the value as it was.

A number field takes one number, such as 6 or 1.5, and a date field takes a date, such as June 3, 1962, or 1962. If what you typed doesn't read that way, the page says so and keeps your words so you can try again.

Your fix stays

When ShareLocket reads the posts again, it never changes a value someone fixed. The link to the post the value came from stays beside it, so you can still check the original words.

See who fixed it

A fixed value shows the profile picture of the person who fixed it. Hover over it, tap it, or press and hold the value to see Fixed by and their name.

Undo a fix

Choose Fix, clear the value, and press Enter, or for a list tap or click somewhere else. The value goes back to what ShareLocket found, and the page says Back to what ShareLocket found.

Titles, photos, and gift ideas can't be fixed here. A paused circle is read-only.
