How Comments Help Organize Your Circle

The details people add

A published comment can add a name, a place, or a detail that helps organize a post into Collections and connect it with People and Places. Words in an attached photograph or PDF can contribute too when reading attachments is enabled. Pending comments are not included.

Follow a quoted comment in a Collection, Person, or Place to open that comment in its conversation. If the comment has been removed or is no longer visible to you, it cannot be opened from the citation.

Your choice

To opt out of processing your contributions, including your comments, open the circle, choose Circle options, then Settings, and turn off Let ShareLocket organize my posts. The person who shared the original post must also allow processing for comments on that post to contribute.

Very long conversations

There is a limit to how much of a thread is read at once. On a very long thread, later comments may not be read. Your comments still appear in the conversation as usual.
