React to a post with just an emoji

Say it with one emoji

Sometimes a heart says enough. When someone shares something in your Circle, you can react without typing a word.

Sending a reaction

Reply the way you always do, by text or by email, with nothing but an emoji, like ❤️, 😂 or 👍.

We'll see that you're reacting, so your emoji shows up as a reaction on what you're replying to, instead of becoming a new post.

Sharing your own photo with an emoji

If you send a photo with an emoji as its caption — say, a single ❤️ — that emoji becomes the photo's caption like any other. It's only a reaction when you send an emoji on its own, with no photo attached.

When there's nothing recent to react to

If there's nothing recent in your Circle for your emoji to attach to, your reply still gets through. We post it as a short note instead.

A few things to know

• Reactions are quiet: nobody gets a notification, and we don't reply to confirm. Your emoji just appears.
• You can react more than once. Send a ❤️ today and a 😂 next week, and both show.
