Share web links in your circle
Text or email a link to your Circle and it shows up with a picture and a title, ready to tap.
Sharing a link
A news story, a recipe, a video, a song — text or email a link to your Circle the way you'd share a photo.
A moment after it arrives, your link becomes a card in the Circle with a picture and a title, so everyone can see what it is before tapping it.
Sending a link with a photo
If you send a link with a photo and a few words, we keep them together. Your caption appears under the photo as usual, with a small preview of the link underneath.
Watching a video or listening to a song
Some links, like a video or a song, can play without leaving your Circle. Their card has a play button on the picture. Tap it and it plays right there.
Nothing plays on its own. It only starts when someone taps it.
How we keep this safe
We check every link before showing it. If it looks fine, the card appears with its picture and title.
If a link doesn't pass, we leave it out. The rest of your message — your caption, your photo, anything else you sent — is still shared. If the link was the only thing you sent, nothing is posted, and it's worth telling whoever sent it to you that it didn't come through.
Now and then a link shows up without its picture and title. That isn't a safety problem — the link already passed our check. We just hadn't finished fetching how the page looks in time, so we shared it without them. The link is still there and still works.
