Ticking off a shared list
Tick things off a list your circle keeps together, so everyone can see what is done, and who took care of it.
One list for the whole circle
Some collections are lists your circle keeps together: who is bringing what, or the jobs to do before a visit. When a collection's kind is List and you tick something off it, everyone in your circle sees it ticked, along with the name and profile picture of the person who took care of it.
Not sure a collection is a list? Its Kind shows beside its name, and you can change it there.
Ticking something off
- Open the collection from your circle.
- Tick the thing you have taken care of.
- That's it. There is nothing to save, and your name and picture appear beside it for everyone.
If someone else ticked it first, it stays theirs. If you untick it and then choose Undo, it comes back ticked with your name.
Where the done things go
Ticked things fold away under a line such as 3 more taken care of, so what still needs doing stays at the top. Choose that line to see everything that is done, and who did each one.
Changing your mind
- Choose Undo to reverse the last thing you ticked or unticked.
- Or untick it any time later. It goes back on the list as not done, for everyone.
Anyone in the circle can tick and untick, just as anyone can rename a collection. In a paused circle you can still see the list, but nothing can be ticked or unticked until it is reopened.
Ticks that are just for you
Anything you can tick in a collection of another kind, such as the ingredients of a recipe or the steps of a guide, works differently: what you tick there is just for you while you are cooking or working through it, and it clears when you leave the page. Only a List collection shares its ticks with your circle.
Gift ideas
Gift ideas for someone in your circle have a list of their own, where you can tick Got it without the person they're for ever seeing it. See Gift ideas in your circle.
