Tagging people in your circle
Name the people in a photo or post shared to your circle. Members you tag get a notification; anyone else just gets their name on the post.
Tag someone in a post
- Open your circle and find a post shared directly to the circle. Posts referenced from a sharing album keep their tagging in that album.
- For a photo, open it full screen and choose Tag people, then tap a face or drag a circle around someone. For a post without a photo, choose Who's in this? below the post (it says Add someone once someone is tagged). Then start typing a name.
- Choose a circle member from the list to tag them. They receive a notification in ShareLocket.
- If the person is not a circle member, add their name instead. Their name appears on the post, but no notification is sent.
The tag saves as soon as you choose a name, and the name shows on the photo straight away. If you picked the wrong person, choose Undo straight away. When you're finished, choose Tag people again to stop tagging.
Seeing who's in a photo
The people in a photo show on the photo itself. Everyone who has been named appears as a small round picture in the corner of the photo. A face nobody has named yet shows a question mark. Choose one to open that photo and see who's who, or to name them.
If anyone in a post is still not yet named, the line under the post says so. Choose it to go straight to the first face that needs a name. In the full-screen view, choose Who to see everyone's names on the photo.
Your circle stays private
Suggested names come from this circle. A name you add here does not become a suggestion in another circle.
Tagging is manual. ShareLocket does not identify people in photos automatically.
