How do I cancel Premium?
Stop your circle's Premium subscription from renewing, from My Account, at any time. Here's how, and what happens after you do.
Cancelling is always yours to do
A circle has one Premium subscription, and one person pays for it. If that's you, you can stop it from renewing yourself, at any time, without asking us. It takes about three taps.
How to cancel
- Go to My Account.
- Under Your circles' Premium status, find the circle. A circle you pay for by card shows Premium and Subscription.
- Tap Manage beside it. A secure page run by Stripe opens, where you can cancel the subscription.
You can also start from the circle: choose Circle options, then Settings, and under Premium tap Manage subscription.
Don't see Manage? Only the person who pays for the circle's subscription can cancel it, so ask them. A circle that runs on free months has nothing to cancel: free months never renew, and no card is charged. Months paid for with a one-time payment don't renew either.
What happens next
- Nothing changes immediately. Your circle keeps Premium, for everyone in it, until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- You won't be charged again. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Nothing is deleted. Every post, photo, video, and comment in your circle, and its sharing albums, stay exactly where they are.
- Anyone in the circle can add Premium again whenever they like, and everything is waiting. See Adding Premium to a circle.
Updating your card instead
If a payment didn't go through and you'd rather fix the card than cancel, tap Manage beside the circle, or Manage in Stripe under Invoices and payment method, where your invoices live. Either one opens a secure page run by Stripe where you can update your payment details.
If you're being charged for something you don't recognise
If a charge doesn't look right, please get in touch and we'll look at it with you.
Refunds
Cancelling stops the next charge; it doesn't refund one that has already gone through, and there's no part-period credit. What you've paid for stays yours until the period ends.
