Who Can See and Interact With Your Album

Choose who can view your album and who can leave messages — from just your guest list to anyone signed in.

Your album, your rules

Every album has privacy settings that let you decide who can see your keepsake and who can leave messages on it. You can change these any time from your album settings.

Who can view your album?

  • Private. Only the people you invite can see your album. Best for family-only memorials, baby albums, or private celebrations.
  • Public. Anyone with the link can view the album. Best for weddings, graduations, or retirement parties where you want to share widely.

Who can add messages?

  • No one. Your album becomes view-only. People can enjoy the keepsake but can't leave a message.
  • People you invite. Only people from your guest list can comment or post.
  • Invitees + approved guests. Anyone signed in can ask to join in, and you approve them one by one.
  • Anyone signed in. Any signed-in visitor can leave a message. Everything still runs through our content filters, and you can remove anything you don't like.

Your Chorus

If you turn on the Chorus, visitors can post to it like a memory book — leaving short messages that everyone can read. The Chorus has its own settings for who can post and who can comment, so you can keep it as open or as private as you like.

Review before it appears

Turn on Review posts and comments before they appear and new messages will wait for your approval before anyone else sees them. Great for memorials or any event where you want to keep things gentle.

Private albums keep things simple

If your album is set to Private, commenting and Chorus options are automatically limited to your invitees — since nobody else can see the album, they can't leave messages on it either.

Confirming your choice at publish time

When you publish your album, we ask you to double-check your privacy setting one more time — so you're sure it's what you want before your link goes live. You can change this at any time from your album settings.

Tip: You can always start private and open things up later if you want to share more widely.
