When the Chorus is paused
If the album owner's Chorus subscription has lapsed, new posts and reactions are paused. Existing memories are safe.
When the Chorus is paused
The Chorus is the part of an album where guests can leave their own memories, reactions, and notes. The album owner keeps it open with a small monthly subscription. If that subscription has been paused or has lapsed, the Chorus goes quiet — but nothing is lost.
What happens while the Chorus is paused
- Existing memories stay. Every post, reaction, and comment that's already in the Chorus stays exactly where it is. Guests can still read everything.
- New posts and reactions are paused. The composers and reaction buttons are hidden until the owner reopens the Chorus.
- The album itself is unaffected. The owner's photos, videos, and stories — the heart of the album — keep working as normal. Only the guest contributions are paused.
I'm the owner — how do I reopen the Chorus?
- Open your album and go to Workspace → Chorus.
- Tap Renew Chorus and follow the prompts to start your subscription again.
- Once your subscription is active, the Chorus reopens right away — guests can post and react again.
Only the album owner can renew the Chorus subscription. Co-editors can't, and guests don't see the option at all — only the gentle "Chorus is paused" message.
If you're a guest and you'd love to leave a memory, the kindest thing to do is let the album owner know. They can choose to reopen the Chorus whenever they're ready.
