Managing people on your album
Add friends and family, choose what they can do, and remove people anytime.
Who's on your album?
The People page shows everyone who is part of your album — starting with the album owner at the top, followed by everyone you've invited and whether they've joined yet. You can get there from your album by tapping Workspace → People.
Each person has a little badge next to their name so you can see their role at a glance: a gold Owner badge for the person who created the album, a Co-editor badge for trusted helpers, and no badge for contributors.
Adding someone
- Tap Add person in the top right of the People page. An Invite people window opens.
- Pick how you'd like to add them:
- Type — add one or a few people by name, email, or phone.
- Paste — paste a list of names, emails, or phone numbers from anywhere.
- Google, Outlook, Yahoo — sign in once to pick people straight from your contacts.
- File — upload a CSV or vCard file (handy if you already have a list).
- Review the list below the window. You can untick anyone you don't want to invite.
- Tap Send invitations.
If the person already has a ShareLocket account, they'll be added to your album right away. Otherwise, we'll email (or text) them a friendly invitation with a link to join.
Looking to add someone as a co-editor instead of a guest? That uses a different path — see Inviting a co-editor with a private link.
Has my invitation been opened?
Next to each pending invitation you'll see a little status label:
- Sending — we're just finishing up the delivery.
- Sent — the email or text has gone out.
- Delivered — it landed in their inbox.
- Opened — they've seen it.
- Joined — they've accepted and are now on your album.
If it's been a while and they still haven't received anything, tap Resend next to their name and we'll send a fresh copy.
Approving someone who's waiting
When someone needs your blessing — whether they signed up with a different email or phone number than your invitation, or they asked for access to a private album — they show up at the top of your People page in a pinned Pending approval section. That way the decisions you need to make are the very first thing you see.
Each row tells you who's waiting and why. For someone who signed up with different details, you'll see a small note like "Invited as [email protected]" sitting under the email or phone they actually registered with. For someone who asked for access to a private album, you'll see the message they wrote with their request.
Tap Approve to add them, or Deny if you don't recognize them. Until you decide, they can look around the album but can't post or comment. The original invitation stays valid in the meantime, in case the right person wants to use it later.
You'll also get a notification when someone is waiting, so you don't have to keep checking back.
Changing what someone can do
Made someone a contributor and want to give them more help running the album? If you are the album owner, tap their row on the People page and choose Make co-editor. Only the album owner can promote someone to co-editor. You can switch them back to a contributor the same way.
Every album can have up to 5 co-editors, so you always stay in control of who's helping. To bring someone on as a co-editor from the start, use a private co-editor link — see Inviting a co-editor with a private link.
Removing someone
- Find the person on the People page and tap the three dots next to their name.
- Choose Remove from album.
- We'll ask whether you'd also like to hide the photos and messages they added. If you say yes, their memories are moved to the Hidden group on your Media page — they're not gone, just tucked away. You can bring them back anytime.
- Tap Remove to confirm.
Removing someone is gentle: they just lose access to the album, and you can always invite them again later.
