Accessibility on ShareLocket

Ways to use ShareLocket that suit you: post by phone call or text, describe photos, read what was said, make the words larger, and use a keyboard.

This is for anyone who finds some ways of using ShareLocket easier than others. Here's what's there to help, and where to find it.

Without the website

You can post to a circle by text message, by email, or by calling its number and leaving a voice message, and get its summaries by email or text. See Call your circle and leave a voice message and Share family photos by text or email.

Describing photos

When you add a photo on the website, choose its … button, then Describe, to write what's in it for people who can't see it.

Reading what was said

A voice message left by phone is posted with what was said written out. You can read what was said in a video, too. See Read what was said in a video.

Larger words

When you read a collection, choose Larger text to make the words bigger, and Smaller text to bring them back. Your browser's own zoom works on top of that. See Reading a collection.

Using a keyboard

  • Reading a collection: click once on the page, then use the left and right arrow keys.
  • Looking at a photo full screen: use + and − to zoom, or 0 to go back to Fit.
  • On the relationships diagram: choose Skip to relationship list to go straight to the list.

Less movement

A GIF stays still until you choose to play it. If your device is set to reduce motion, the next video in a collection waits for you to press play.
