Call your circle and leave a voice message

Your circle's phone number takes calls too. Leave a voice message after the tone, and it's shared with everyone, with a written transcript.

You can call, not just text

The number people use to text photos to your Circle takes calls too. Call it, wait for a short greeting, and start talking.

Leaving a message

  1. Call your Circle's number.
  2. Wait for the greeting. It tells you you've reached the right Circle.
  3. Leave your message after the tone, like any voicemail.
  4. Press 1 when you're finished, or 0 to start over and record it again.

Your message is recorded and added to your Circle like a photo or a text. Everyone in it can listen, and read what was said: see Read what was said in a video.

If you finish talking and simply hang up without pressing anything, your message is still shared.

Only members can leave one

Like texting, calling only works from the phone number that was added for you. From any other number, you'll hear a short message saying there's no one to take the call. Your Circle's number and its members stay private either way.

What gets saved

If you hang up during the greeting, or nothing is said, nothing is saved. Pressing 0 to start over works the same way: what you'd already said is discarded, and you get a fresh try.

If the circle has been closed, you'll hear that it isn't taking new messages right now. Everything already in it stays safe.
