My circle invitation link isn't working
What each message on a circle invitation page means, and how the person who invited you can send a fresh link or invite you at the right address.
This is for anyone whose circle invitation link didn't let them in. At the end, you'll know what the page is telling you and how to get a link that works.
"This invite link isn't working"
The invitation may have been used already or taken back, or it was passed along from someone else's message. An invitation only works for the person it was sent to. Ask the person who invited you to send you a new one.
"This invite was sent to someone else"
You're signed in with an account that doesn't use the email address or phone number the invitation went to. The invitation hasn't been used, so it still works.
- Choose Sign in with a different account.
- Sign in with the email address or phone number the invitation was sent to.
If that address or number is yours but isn't on the account you use, see I was invited at a different email address or I was invited at a different phone number.
"Couldn't add you to the circle"
The invitation can't be used with the account you're signed in with. It may have been used already, or taken back. Ask the person who invited you to send a new invitation to the email address or phone number you use on ShareLocket.
"This circle is paused right now"
A paused circle doesn't take new members. Keep the link: it works again if the circle's owner or an admin reopens the circle.
Getting a new link
The circle's owner or an admin can send your invitation again from the circle's Members page. Under Pending invites, they choose Send it again. The new link replaces the old one, so use the newest message. Take back cancels an invitation, and its link stops working.
An invitation can be sent again two minutes after the last send, and then once per hour. The same email address or phone number can get up to three circle invitations a day, across all circles.
