Why was my invitation message blocked?
If your custom invitation message can't be sent, here's why — and how to get it on its way.
Why your invitation message was blocked
Before we send your invitation on your behalf, we take a quick, automatic look at the message you wrote. It's a friendly safety check that helps keep ShareLocket welcoming for everyone — your guests included.
Once in a while, the check flags something in a message and pauses the send. This is automatic and isn't a judgment about you — sometimes a perfectly innocent word or phrase is caught by mistake. When that happens, we'll let you know which message needs a small edit so you can send it right away.
How to send your invitation
- Open your album and tap the Invitation tab.
- Look at the highlighted email message. (Text-message invitations use a fixed message we write for you, so they're never blocked.)
- Read it over and gently reword anything that might have tripped the check. Removing links, strong language, or anything that reads like spam usually does the trick.
- Your changes save automatically a moment after you stop typing.
- Head back to the People tab and send your invitations again.
A few things that help
- Keep your message warm and personal — a short note about your album and why you'd love them to join works beautifully.
- Leave links out. Your invitation already includes a private link to your album, so you don't need to add one.
- If you'd rather not fuss with it, tap Reset to default below the email box to go back to our friendly starter message, which always sends.
