Your circle's number and posting address

Where to find the number you text or call and your own address for emailing posts, and how to save both to your phone as a contact card.

This is for anyone in a circle who wants to post by text, email, or phone call. At the end, you'll have your circle's number and your own posting address saved in your phone.

Where to find them

Open your circle and look for the Post from anywhere card. It shows Your circle email address and the number under Text or call. Choose Copy beside either one.

Your posting address is also in the circle's settings: choose Circle options, then Settings, and look under Your posting address.

Save them as a contact

Your contact card puts the circle in your phone's contacts, with its number and your posting address, so sending a photo is as simple as choosing the circle's name. Texts from the circle come from the same number, so you'll know who they're from.

  1. Open your circle and choose Save my contact card on the Post from anywhere card. You'll also find Send me my contact card under Your posting address in the settings, and Add by email or text in the People row of Collections & more.
  2. Open the file it saves and add it to your contacts.

Your welcome email carries the same card. If your number isn't ready yet, we say so, and we text it to you as soon as it is.

If you see a prompt instead

We know a post is yours by the number or address it comes from, so each way works once your account has a confirmed email address or phone number. If the card says Add your email address first. or Add your phone number first., choose Add email or Add number. If it asks you to confirm one, choose Confirm.

Yours, and nobody else's

Your posting address is yours alone: three words, like [email protected]. Anything you email to it from a confirmed address posts to the circle as you. Each circle you're in has its own number for you. Now and then one person is set up on a different number from everyone else; that's expected.

If someone else has your address, you can reset it. See Post to your circle by email.
