Finish your profile: the details we still need

However you signed up, we ask once for anything still missing, like your name. A phone number and text messages are always optional.

Finish setting up your account

Almost done! To keep sign-up quick, we only ask for the essentials up front — so however you signed up, we'll ask for whichever details are still missing.

What we might ask for

  • Your first and last name. If you signed up with just an email and password, or if Google didn't share your name with us, we'll ask you to type it in here.
  • Email address. Only if we have no way to reach you at all. Signing in with Apple or Google occasionally leaves us without an address, and we need one so we can send your weekly summary and help you back in if you ever lose access.
  • Phone number. Optional, always. Add it if you'd like us to be able to text you; skip it and nothing is held up. We ask because signing up with email doesn't collect one and no social provider shares one.

We only ever need one way to reach you — an email address or a phone number. If you already have one on your account, we won't ask for the other.

Text messages are entirely up to you

You'll see a checkbox asking whether you'd like to receive text messages about activity in your circles. It's completely optional — leave it unchecked and you can still finish setting up your account and use everything ShareLocket offers. You can change your mind at any time from your profile, and you can reply STOP to any text to stop them.

Security texts are separate. If we ever need to send you a verification code, it goes out whether or not you ticked that box — those are one-off codes you asked for, not ongoing messages.

What happens next

  1. Fill in whichever fields you're shown — you'll only see the ones we're missing.
  2. Decide whether you'd like text messages about circle activity — either answer is fine.
  3. That's it — you're in.

We'll only ask you to verify your phone number later, when you do something that needs an extra security check (like starting a subscription or posting on someone else's album). No code today.

If you used Apple's Hide My Email feature, we'll keep using your private Apple address — nothing to change. It works exactly like any other address, and you can add your real one later from your profile if you'd rather.
