Set up a passkey
Add a passkey to your account so you can sign in with your face, fingerprint, or screen lock, with nothing to type.
This is for anyone with a ShareLocket account, on a phone or computer that supports passkeys. At the end, you can sign in without typing a password.
Why use a passkey
A passkey lets you sign in with the face, fingerprint, or screen lock you already use to unlock your device. There's nothing to type, so there's nothing for anyone to guess or trick you into giving away.
Add a passkey
- Go to My Account.
- Find Passkeys and choose Add a passkey.
- If you like, fill in Name this device (optional) so you can tell your devices apart later.
- Choose Add passkey, then follow your device's prompt: your face, fingerprint, or screen lock.
Signing in with your passkey
Next time you sign in, tap the email box and pick your passkey when your device offers it. Or choose Sign in with a passkey, just below Sign in with Email.
Tip: Passkeys are optional. Your password still works whenever you want to use it.
