How to Change Your Phone Number

Switching phones or got a new number? Here's how to update it:

1. Go to Your Profile and find Phone under Staying in touch.
2. Tap Change phone.
3. Enter your current password to confirm it's really you.
4. Type your new phone number.
5. Tap Send verification code.

We'll text a 6-digit code to your new number. Enter that code and tap Verify to finish the switch.

Why do I only see the last four digits?

Your profile page shows your number partly hidden, like ***-***-4567. That's on purpose — the last four digits are enough for you to recognise which number is on file, while keeping the rest private if someone glances at your screen. We still have your full number safely on file, and we still text your codes to it. To put a different number on your account, use Change phone above.

Already on the right number but it's not verified?

If the phone number on your profile is already correct but hasn't been verified yet, you'll see a small Verify now button right next to it. Tap it to send yourself a fresh 6-digit code by text — no need to open Change phone and re-type the same number. Type the code in, and the little "Unverified" tag goes away.

Good to know

• The code expires after 15 minutes. If it expires, just repeat the steps and we'll send a new one.
• Make sure you can receive text messages on the new number before you start.
• Your old number stays on file until you confirm the new one.
