Add or change your profile photo

Upload, crop, or remove the photo that appears next to your name on albums, circles, and comments. Photos can be up to 5 MB.

Adding a Profile Photo

Your profile photo appears next to your name on albums, comments, and messages. Here's how to set one up:

  1. Go to Your Profile.
  2. Tap your avatar (the circle at the top of the page).
  3. Choose where your photo comes from — your device, your camera, or another app like Google Drive or Dropbox (when available). Your photo uploads right away.
  4. Drag to crop it into a square that looks just right.
  5. Tap Apply Crop — your new photo appears everywhere immediately.

Photo requirements

  • Your photo can be up to 5 MB in size.
  • We support JPEG, PNG, and HEIC formats.

Removing your photo

If you'd rather not have a photo, go to Your Profile and tap Remove photo beside your photo. We'll replace it with your initials.

When you change, crop, or remove your profile picture, we arrange to delete the old file. If our storage service is unavailable, we try again. Safety or moderation reviews can delay deletion. An old picture link may still work until the cached copy expires. Anyone with a direct link to your profile picture can view it without signing in. If a moderator hides your picture, we keep it for staff review.
