Change Your Password

If you know your current password

1. Go to Your Profile.
2. Scroll down to Keeping your account safe.
3. Tap Change your password. Enter your current password, then type your new password twice to confirm.
4. Tap Update password.

Your new password needs to be at least 8 characters long. To keep your account safe, we'll also let you know if the password you picked is one that's commonly used or has shown up in a known data breach — if so, just choose a different one. For your safety, we'll automatically sign you out on any other devices so no one else stays logged in with the old password.

If your account doesn't have a password yet

If you signed up with Google, Apple, or a passkey, you can add a password whenever you'd like, as another way to sign in.

1. Go to Your Profile.
2. Scroll down to Keeping your account safe.
3. Tap Set a password, then type your new password in New password and again in Confirm new password.
4. Tap Set password.

The same rules apply: at least 8 characters, and not one that's commonly used or has shown up in a known data breach. For your safety, we'll sign you out on any other devices.

To keep your account safe, we only allow this shortly after you sign in. If it has been a while, we'll ask you to sign in again first; tap Sign in again and we'll bring you right back.

If you've forgotten your password

1. On the sign-in page, tap Forgot password?
2. Enter your email address.
3. Check your inbox and tap the reset link.
4. Choose a new password.

Forgot password? only works for an account that already has a password. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or a passkey, sign in that way and set a password from your profile instead. Lost your passkey? See Lost your device? Recover your account.

Tip: Longer is stronger. A short phrase you'll remember — but that others can't easily guess — works better than a short, complicated password.
